November 2013

November 2013

Things went along like this for a while, until the renter decided that he needed a garage door. They knew that they were moving into an old house that only had a carport, but he was convinced that people were stealing his valuable tools out of the carport. (He should have left his dogs out there...this is a really quiet neighborhood)

The only problem with this idea was that the entry way to the house was inside the garage.
Sigh, so we decided to put a front door in the front so people would be able to walk into his garage, see his valuable tools, mark the ones they wanted and come back later to clean him out blind. Then we closed in the garage a bit.
I really didn't have the money to put in a garage door, but wasn't willing to trash up the neighborhood with a tarp across the garage so I caved in again and put in a real garage door that even had it's own handy dandy uptown opener.
Please don't ask about the authentic saw blades hanging between the upstairs windows or any of the other "curb appeal" additions. There was a garage door everybody was happy. Well almost...
