There was a fence around part of the backyard that was being held up with a wish and a prayer that had to come down. And down it did. It revealed the most beautiful trees ever.
You can see where the dirt from the outside of the fence built up around it, about eight inches. That will all have to be pushed back and a retaining wall built so that it doesn't keep flowing north and bury the house one day. We will have to dig out a foot or so on the south side of the house where the ground has built up around the foundation and rotted away the wood.
I love this picture. It looks like the house is saying, "oh my heck what are you doing to me?" She looks so surprised now that we've raised her skirt up to her knees. Poor girl she has no idea what's in store for her in the next month or two.
