I know this post is out of order, but this is what's happening now, I'll catch up a bit later I promise. Remember the bit about the piled up dirt that had drifted down to the house? Well Roger's boy Greg dug us out yesterday and today. The grandkids think that Brother Allen is building them a swimming pool. I don't know how to break their hearts and tell them that we were just trying to find the foundation. There must be a lesson in there somewhere, about a good foundation and all versus a swimming pool (which will need to be hot by the way), I'll have to think on that one. Here's what she looks like tonight.
See that little green window? In a few days that will be the new back door, the 20 year plan is to have a back patio here one day, for now it's just our dream pool. It was kind of hard trying to explain that a door was easier to jump into the pool from when I knew that Tanner was measuring the distance from the upper window to the edge of the roof into the water. But the rotten boards have been replaced and the new sewer lines are connected! Yeah!
And, do you know how much fun huge piles of dirt in the yard are? The sandbox toys are coming out of winter storage and roads with jumps will be built.
